The United States is the most generous country in the world. In fact, more than $316 billion was donated to charitable organizations in 2012. An incredible 88% of U.S. households gave to charitable organizations. Additionally, 64.3 million adults volunteered 15.2 billion hours of service, worth an estimated value of $296.2 billion.
